This article's AfD
[edit]For the purposes of transparency, this article was put for deletion by Future Perfect at Sunrise (talk) on July 5 2012 [1]. I was about to post the following comment on that AfD discussion :
- Comment - I am following the AfD discussion at the corresponding French article. I admit I am not familiar with the subject and will try to dig out more infor about him before casting my vote here and in the corresponding French discussion. Since Future Perfect has nominated this article based on the nomination in the French article, perhaps the closing admin should observe how the discussion went in that article before closing this discussion. For the time being, I am swaying towards keep. Future Perfect also nominated this article for deletion based on the nomination of Edith de La Chevalerie by somebody else, and this article's French equivalent (by somebody else). Yet, the nominator of this article provided no substantiative argument for his nomination and reasoning other than Edith de La Chevalerie's article was put for AfD by another. This article should be judged on its merit/notability. We should not be too quick to jump to conclusions based on Edith's AfD.
There was an edit clash before I was able to save the above comment, because the same administrator who put this article for deletion (Future Pefect) retracted their AfD and closed the discussion within hours of their nomination (see link above). Out of courtesy, I will notify the editor concerned for mentioning their name here. Tamsier (talk) 16:07, 5 July 2012 (UTC)
Complete re-write
[edit]I have completely re-written this article to contain only information which can be verified by published reliable sources. The previous version of the article had no inline citations, very dubious and vague sources listed, contained much original research and quite possibly many inaccuracies and "embellishments" (to say the least).
