Merrick and Bishopbriggs and Kirkintilloch District Council elections
[edit]Although these elections were fought as being for Merrick District Council and Bishopbriggs and Kirkintilloch District Council, the authorities never met under those names as they were changed prior to their taking office in 1975 to Wigtown Ditrict Council and Strathkelvin District Council.
