Should massacres which are disputed by a user be included in the list of massacres campaign box?

[edit]

Should massacres in which one side denies an event happened be included in the campaign box? 100.12.237.205 (talk) 07:04, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
This is a question in regards to the removal of Thanh Phong massacre and Thuy Bo massacre by User:Mztourist because some individuals or sides deny the event happened. Given that Shelling of Cai Lay schoolyard which is poorly written without any verifiable details are included, and ones which are denied by the Viet Cong such as the Dak Son massacre are also included. Why is this included? Both events were heavily re-written on poorly reasoned, arbitrary grounds in an attempt to obscure the pages. 100.12.237.205 (talk) 07:04, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Why are you discussing this here, and not at either WT:WikiProject Vietnam or WT:MILHIST? Why have you gone straight to RfC without first observing WP:RFCBEFORE? --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 19:07, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

User:117.7.108.198 this campaignbox is for massacres. Unless a massacre has its own page and is supported by multiple WP:RS it should not be listed here. Operation Speedy Express has not been shown to be a massacre. The claims that you have added about purported Diem-era massacres at Phu Loi Base Camp and in Hương Điền district are not supported by RS and so cannot be included here. 117.7.108.198 regarding your latest edit war change: [1] as previously advised there is no support for Operation Speedy Express being a massacre. Whatever happened at Hương Điền district and Phu Loi Base Camp are not supported by WP:RS. Now stop edit-warring and discuss the issues here. Mztourist (talk) 09:29, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
