For adding "Minecraft" into this list
[edit]About my editing https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:Esoteric_programming_languages&oldid=1294542852
Minecraft as a whole is a game, not a programming language. However, Can I add "Redstone (Minecraft)", the programming part of Minecraft, to this list? --Oxygen-dioxide (talk) 11:42, 8 June 2025 (UTC)
- @Oxygen-dioxide the esoteric programming language article defines the term as
a programming language designed to test the boundaries of computer programming language design
. Redstone is more analog circuit than programming language, since there's very little the player can actually program. Plus, there's currently no stand-alone article for Redstone, and it is only mentioned in one or two paragraphs in the Minecraft article. So all in all, I'd say no.
