Acronym is wrong parameter

[edit]

By no means all degrees have an acronym (the one used as an example, ATGI, is an exception). Most have an abbreviation; while |abbreviation= is accepted as a parameter, it is not displayed. The parameter |acronym= is accepted, and displays as, for example, "Acronym PhD".

All acronyms are abbreviations, but not all abbreviations are acronyms. We need a parameter|abbreviation= that displays. It doesn't seem necessary to display an acronym (which will be the same as an abbreviation) as such - the degrees that I can think of are pronounced as initials - but it could be made an alternative.
