The JSDF designation after 2007
[edit]In 2007, the designation system of JSDF was changed with the implementation of the "Instruction Concerning Use of Equipment and Other Items by Units" and type numbers are no longer required. After that, some names are still given the name "Type XX" as a transitional measure, but others are not. Please refer to the following news article for details:
- Takewaka, Masaya (August 8, 2018), "90式戦車などの「○○式」とは? 陸自車両でもついたりつかなかったりする理由" [Type 90 tanks and other "Type XX" vehicles: Why they are sometimes attached and sometimes not attached even to land-based vehicles.], TrafficNews
Therefore, even with this template, we should not necessarily insist on the traditional designation system. Panda 51 (talk) 07:12, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
