Include death/injury counts?
[edit]Since this is a significant change and would take some time to do, I thought it wise to ask for some second opinions before implementing it.
Do you guys think we should maybe update the template to include the counts of those injured/killed, to sorta make it more descriptive of each event in terms of severity?
For example, the template currently starts with "Grantsville, UT (Jan. 17) * Milwaukee, WI (Feb. 26)". Under this change it would look like "Grantsville, UT (4 dead, 1 injured, Jan. 17) * Milwaukee, WU (6 dead, Feb. 26)", and so on.
Your thoughts? Thanks for weighing in and enjoy spring :). SuperbowserX (talk) 17:36, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
- Agreed
- Gun violence is a contentious topic in the US, and if Wikipedia makes one small step forward by showing the casualties even on a Template, maybe it would make more people aware.
- Additional suggestion: bold the most deadly shooting of every year. DemocracyDeprivationDisorder (talk) 03:41, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
Attempted assassination of Donald Trump
[edit]Based on our mass shooting article qualifying the attempt on Trump's life as have been a mass shooting given that there were four non-perpetrator casualties (1 dead, 3 injured) it would be appropriate to include a link to the article on this table. Two sources whose definition on the mass shooting article meet the attempted assassination are Gun Violence Archive and Mass Shooting Tracker, which have both listed this attack as being such on their websites.
