How are planning to make the distinction between synthesis and anabolism? David D. (Talk) 16:32, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Very good question! Im thinking synthesis should cover the whole biological process and anabolism the biochemical synthesis. Eg. for protein, anabolism would cover amino acid synthesis, and synthesis would reference to tRNA loading, translation (and possibly transcription).
I see, that certainly makes some sense for protein and nucleic acids (which are absent on your template). Possibly also for carbohydrates but lipids? David D. (Talk) 23:26, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for the slow response, wachlist issues... This template was made quickly, and not very well, as a placeholder which essentially illustrates the mess that is metabolism articles. I'm hoping at some point it will become apparent what structure this template should take as the articles take shape. I'm talking my considerations 'out loud' at Wikipedia:Wikiproject Metabolic Pathways/proposals. - Zephyris Talk 13:29, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This band of links at the bottom that goes like "M: MET mt, k, c/g/r/p/y/i, f/h/s/l/o/e" etc. is weird, like some sort of cryptic code. Is it supposed to be reader-intelligible? 86.179.113.110 (talk) 23:19, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
