The Death of Robin Hood is an upcoming American epic action film written and directed by Michael Sarnoski. It is a darker reimagining of the Robin Hood legend. It stars Hugh Jackman, Jodie Comer, Bill Skarsgård, Murray Bartlett, and Noah Jupe.

Robin Hood grapples with his past life of crime and murder while in the hands of a mysterious woman after being critically injured.

In May 2024, it was announced that a darker reimagining of the Robin Hood legend was in development, with Michael Sarnoski writing and directing, and Hugh Jackman and Jodie Comer starring.[1] Shortly thereafter, A24 acquired U.S. rights to the project in a competitive situation at the Marché du Film.[2] In February 2025, Bill Skarsgård, Murray Bartlett, and Noah Jupe were added to the cast.[3]

Principal photography began in early February 2025, in Northern Ireland.[3][4]
