Turaiha

Turaiha is a Hindu community found in Indian state of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.[1][2] The community is listed as a Scheduled Caste (SC) in Uttar Pradesh as per the 2011 census.[3] Estimated population of Turaiha people is about 467,867 in Bihar[4] and about 28,055 in Uttar Pradesh.[5] This community is associated with fishing occupation.[6]
