I'm Aerra Carnicom[a]. I use they/them pronouns, or its equivalents when speaking other languages. My username used to be Zhing'za zï Ïnin‬[b], which makes sense in the conlang it comes from, but I changed it because most people have no clue how to pronounce that.

I mostly make minor edits here on the English Wikipedia, but will occasionally write new content. In-fact, the articles Keystone symbol and Wondershare Filmora were written mostly by me. My time editing is split between here and Commons, so go see my userpage over there as well.

Abilities

[edit]

I am a native English speaker. Despite not being British, my autocorrect is, so the things I write tend to be spelled those ways. I also know basic Spanish and Mandarin. Since I'm interested in linguistics, I'm familiar with the International Phonetic Alphabet and have a tendency to learn how to read different writing systems without learning the languages themselves. This has taken me to Cyrillic, Greek, and even Futhark and Phoenician.

I understand vexillological nomenclature and blazon, the systems used to formally describe flags and coats of arms.

When it comes to the arcane art of programming[c], I am very familiar with HTML, and understand CSS too. I am also somewhat capable of creating complex templates.

In the realm of graphic design, I'm probably above average, but my skills are nothing special. I can contribute at a high level with vector graphics, and an intermediate level with raster graphics.

WikiPhilosophy

[edit]

My philosophy tends to lean towards inclusionism, though I absolutely understand the importance of keeping content notable. I believe any factually correct information has a place somewhere, just maybe not here on Wikipedia.

When it comes to infoboxes, I, someone often in a hurry for quick key facts, very much understand and appreciate them. That said, it can become a rabbit hole for overspecification. In short, I support filling infobox fields with basic key facts, but oppose anything unnecessary or oversimplified. I also believe everything inside an infobox should also be stated in regular prose.
