My name is James, and I was born in California. I lived some time in Tennessee, and now I live in New York. I have a younger brother and my family is about to host an exchange student from the Philippines. We have two dogs and two cats. I am a sophomore in High School, and while I enjoy many subjects, I mostly focus on science, philosophy, and politics.
I want to edit philosophy articles, but by trying I discovered just how little I know about such a wonderful and complex field. Therefore, I have decided to spend another year or two expanding my knowledge before I try again. I find this is the case for most subjects on Wikipedia that I am interested in. Which, if I ignore my vanity, makes sense. I am a high schooler who has only taken (as of sophomore year) one college level course with four planned for junoir year. Many writers on Wikipedia are in or have graduated from college. Thus, while I will reach that level in the coming years, I am not there yet. However, I can contribute. I write articles within the project to reduce systemic bias, because they are usually on simple topics like a person or place, and because the chances are that no one on English Wikipedia is an expert on them.
