Peter Lenahan worked in the computer industry. He is an avid caver, and a Scout leader. He is a member of The Explorers Club
In 1998 Peter made a suggestion to Tim Berners-Lee to add the grammar to the HTTP [1] protocol to allow downloading from a web page. The feature was discussed by the HTTP working group, but they had forgotten to add it to the http draft proposal.
In 2015 Peter was granted a [2] patent on computer searching.
In 2017 on a caving expedition in Laos with the Biologist Jozef Grego, Jozef collected many species of cave adapted snails, and named one of them after Peter, Tricula Lenahani[3]. A specimen of the snail is housed in the Natural History Museum, London.
For several years Peter has run an event for the Boy Scouts now called Scouting America at The Explorers Club [4]. The event allowed Scouts to earn the Exploration Merit Badge.
