[edit]lyra was born in kent, the united kingdom, in 2001. she was a student at soas university of london. her work primarily focused on japanese history and culture, writing theses on popular representations of the second world war and transgender sentiment in manga and anime. in 2023 she started living in south osaka, japan as a jet. she enjoys writing about film and learning history.
beloved books include the u.s.a. trilogy, middlemarch, and sanshirō. beloved albums include meat puppets ii, blowout comb, and preacher's daughter.

[edit]she created her wikipedia account in 2021 but only began editing comprehensively when she noticed that the films of kurosawa akira had articles that required heavy maintenance, she then spent most of 2024 working on high and low (1963) [

], before beginning to branch out more. her main contributions to wikipedia have focused on expanding information related to japan. she has an interest in articles related to cinema, anime and manga, history, and political thought. behind the scenes she does the odd article review and did you know promotion.
her first created article was tenjin matsuri, her first good article was jarinko chie (1981) [ ], directed by takahata isao. her most fulfilling work on the encyclopedia has been working on the meiji restoration and films of kurosawa akira (including one wonderful sunday and drunken angel).
