Hello! Welcome to my page! My name is Bryant, and my Wikipedia username is StormHunterBryante5467. I have been a Wikipedian since October 20, 2024. I'm an aspiring meteorologist with a focus on tropical meteorology, particularly hurricanes. My goal is to become a meteorologist at the National Weather Service, specializing in gathering vital information about severe weather and hurricanes from the agency to help improve forecasting and save lives. I mainly edit articles on hurricanes and severe weather during the hurricane and tornado seasons, and mainly wildfires and tornadoes outside of hurricane season (Rarely, I may edit articles that aren’t related to meteorology or weather). I'm excited about contributing to weather-related topics and learning more along the way!

Here are my interests:

• Meteorology, with a focus in hurricane and tropical cyclone systems, severe weather like thunderstorms, tornadoes and snowstorms during the winter and off hurricane season.

• Learning about the tools used everyday to monitor the many weather conditions.

• Technology used for data collection and analysis in any weather condition.

• Climate science and its impact on hurricane formation and intensity.

• National Weather Service roles in weather forecasting and public safety.

• Learn BJJ and Judo to primarily gain self-defense skills and have health benefits.

Goals

Career goals

1. Work for the National Weather Service (NWS).

2. Specialize in weather prediction, especially severe weather.

3. Contribute to public safety by delivering accurate and timely weather forecasts.

4. Pursue a degree in meteorology, primarily from Florida State University to build expertise in weather science.

Life Goals

1. Receive First Communion and Confirmation, around March 2025.

2. Live for at least 80 years if God hopefully allows.

3. Become a BJJ and Judo black belt. If I don't reach there, at least gain important self-defense skills and become more stronger and confident.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

I am considering learning BJJ soon. When I do, I will edit this. For now, I will add the reasons why I want do to this, then change it to what I am learning when I get to training:

1. To learn effective self-defense techniques and feel more confident in real-life situations.

2. To improve overall fitness and support weight loss goals in a fun, engaging way.

3. To develop discipline, focus, and mental resilience through consistent training.

4. To connect with a community of respectful and friendly individuals and enjoy a supportive environment.

What am I learning?

Coding and Programming

I want to learn Python first, but if I consider another language, I will edit this. For now, reasons why:

1. To develop skills that will be useful for future career opportunities in meteorology.

2. Enjoyment of learning through platforms like Codecademy and Mimo, which make coding accessible and fun.

I love to see forecasts of severe weather, like severe thunderstorms and hurricanes. Reasons why, and what I do:

3. Follow hurricane-related news and forecasts to stay informed about developing systems.

4. Analyze seasonal patterns and historical storm data for learning and practice.

Reason of fascination

Why am I passionate about hurricanes, severe weather and the National Weather Service?

My passion for hurricanes began growing up in Florida, where hurricanes are a part of life. Experiencing storms like Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Milton firsthand sparked my fascination with how these powerful systems work and how weather data can help protect people from impacts. Working at the National Weather Service is my goal in life, saving lives by issuing the necessary alerts.
