Hi, I have read Michael Embree's Radetzky's Marches: The Campaigns of 1848 and 1849 in Upper Italy which was published in recent years, the wounded being rescued by Piedmont Sanitory Corps from the battle of Novara were initially 2500 and later revisied to 3008 being admitted to hospitals after the battle (Austrian about 1801, totalled about 1855 in his book), and the losses for the losing side (Sardinian) are very difficult to calculate for the total 9 hours of fighting(the missing and captured, and the dead that were buried by Austrian sides were uncounted including very large number of stragglers that were missing or captured). His book was balanced and neutral without favoring either sides, has taken from many and varied sources, including a considerable number of contemporary and first-hand accounts, as well official reports from all sides. I am suprised it wasn't used for Novara page here.
