Mentor for unconventional oil article
[edit]Hi -- I've volunteered to be the online ambassador/mentor for the unconventional oil article, which I see (from the course page) that you're working on. I hope I can help -- I do have some real world experience in the oil business, as well as being fairly experienced on Wikipedia. Please let me know when I can help -- with article reviews, technical questions, or anything else. I look forward to working with you. Mike Christie (talk) 00:12, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- Just noticed that you're creating a sandbox to work on the unconventional oil article -- I'll keep an eye on it and see if I can help. I don't know whether your course suggested you use a sandbox, but you could actually just edit the article directly instead, if you like -- that's how Wikipedia works; there's no need to prepare stuff in a sandbox first. But it's completely up to you and what you feel comfortable with. I'll also watch your talk page so if you do want to ask anything you can post here or on my talk page. - We chose the Sandbox for a definite sense of what work the students did for the professor, however they will be putting things in mainspace by the 1st for full collaboration with the community, Sadads (talk) 02:32, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
