- thanks for the kind words, I am trying to write a balanced article, incorporating both sides, I have not read the book 1761, but I am planning on buying several books on it as soon as I can. All the battles of panipat deserve to be featured articles on wiki.. --Zak 13:10, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
Hi. Could you please provide a source for the death of M V Dhond? Per Wikipedia's policies on the biographies of living people, we cannot accept potentially controversial changes to the biographies of living people without a proper reference. I have reverted your changes to the article but, if you provide a source, I would be happy to re-insert the information back into the article. Cheers, CP 03:41, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. I appreciate. Here is the source. It's in Marathi.

Hi!
[edit]Seems that you are interested in Maratha history as i am. Feel free to talk to me whenever required. I will be glad if i could be of any help. Try contributing and providing as many references as possible. Kesangh (talk) 14:42, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for your obervation. Maratha history on Wiki needs a lot of tidying up. Hope it will happen sooner than later with the help of people like you.
Hey Anil, I've put this article up for review and i would like you to review it. It deserves a better rating than the one it currently has. The article seems to be well structured and covers the entire life of Shivaji. It no more seems to have the problem of NPOV and peacock terms. Kindly go through it. Thanks Kesangh (talk) 14:35, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for your gesture.
Yes, the article is quite good but anything on Shivaji always looks incomplete. And some of it disputed.
But more importantly I am scared by a comment like this on the talk page: "Shivaji Maharaj needs to be addressed/refered as 'Shivaji Maharaj' ONLY and not as shivaji." If Chandragupta Maurya, Ashok, Krishnadevaraya, Akbar, Napoleon are addressed as Chandragupta Maurya, Ashok, Krishnadevaraya, Akbar and Napoleon, why not Shivaji?
This is the problem in dealing with history of Shivaji. He was the most liberal characters of medieval India but today modern India's fanatics are trying to own him. They may burn down institutions and maim people in his name. As I write this, Dadoji Konddeo is a persona non grata for the government of Maharashtra. Such a tragedy!
I feel the work of T S Shejwalkar and V K Rajwade should appear in the list of references.
- Feels refreshing that you have replied. It would be nice if you reply to me on my talkpage, so that i can catch it soon. Regarding the review, if possible, suggest some changes. Don't you think that the article deserves a GA status? Are you contributing to Maharashtra related articles? Articles related to Maratha history like Maratha Empire, Sambhaji, Shahaji, Malharrao Holkar, Yashwantrao Holkar, Madhavrao Peshwa, Mahadji Scindia, etc. are in need of references and need to be wikified, see if you can help. Regarding the inclusion of T S Shejwalkar and V K Rajwade in the references, it would be better if you do it yourself as i haven't gone through their works. You must be well acquainted with their works. You would be able to provide proper references and inline citations at the required places. So don't hesitate and go ahead. Just wondering
[edit]I wished to know who the author of Bhannat was, as written by you elsewhere. I first thought that G was for G A but he died in late 1980s, finally I did a little Google search, (the place where you get all answers including who am I :-).
Isn't your starting the article on GDK Wikipedia:Conflict of interest, my intention is not to find fault in you, but to let you know that perhaps unknowingly you may be erring. Also a good article should be full of in line quotations comprised of wp:rs, the ultimate test for inclusion here is verifiability and not truth.
I for a long time had a fantasy of translating Animal Farm to Marathi, I would have given the translation a more neutral name though can't think of one right away. :-(
Yogesh Khandke (talk) 17:11, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
You do not have to apologise to find fault in me. I know it is not personal. Such efforts improve the quality of Wiki.
Since most of Marathi-only resources are not searchable on-line, I couldn't include website addresses for verifiability.
Thanks for pointing out tenets of Wiki. I will try to adhere to them more strictly.
- I wish to humbly add that the references need not be available on line. They can be in print too, books, newspapers, journals, periodicals, TV, Film, Video, anything that is reliable and publicly accessible.
- Another highly desirable quality is no original research so an article should be composed of well referenced material taken from reliable sources whose existence confirms notability of the subject of the article, also as this is English wikipedia it is recommended but not mandatory that the sources be in English.
- I may be wasting your time with the obvious but it is better to sign one's edit with four tildes ~~~~
- I do not have a lot to give you just sharing my pohe. Yogesh Khandke (talk) 16:03, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for your kindness. aniruddha g. kulkarni
- When I have written about signing the edits, I meant signing edits on talk pages with four tildes, it leaves a time stamp too. Four tildes ---> ~~~~. Yogesh Khandke (talk) 08:55, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Please use an approved format when adding titles to a list of sources. Jack Fingleton has an article here, so why create J. H. FINGLETON as a link? Use of upper case is seriously deprecated on the internet. I have corrected the entry. Batagur baska (talk) 10:10, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
