I appreciate your reviewing the article so quickly, and providing helpful feedback on why it was declined. I have gone through and added references to book reviews and articles written about Scherer's research, as well as his roles on editorial boards. I'm hoping that cumulatively, these additions are enough to demonstrate that he has had an impact on the field -- including discovering a major center of the Maya civilization and the first-known example of defensive walls.
