[edit]Hello, I'm CCS81. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Michael Schwimer have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. CCS81 (talk) 15:44, 20 May 2019 (UTC)
- Hi again Bigjdq. Although your recent additions to Michael Schwimer might be based on 'facts,' please note that all 'facts' are not equally admissible in a Wikipedia or encyclopedia article: please see WP:TRUTH and WP:WEIGHT for more on this. For more on why external links and information regarding 'net worth' and similarly implicit evaluative claims are inappropriate for such a context (particularly in the lead of an article), please see WP:BLP, WP:MOS, WP:NPOV, and WP:RS. While at least some of the material you have added may ultimately be appropriate if written in a different tone and placed elsewhere in the article, the changes you've made violate too many of these tenants to be retained. Please also see WP:AB to be sure that you do not have any editing conflicts of interest. Finally, please don't forget to sign your posts to talk pages using four tildes at the end of your post. Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Michael Schwimer, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. - Hi Bigjdq. Your edits at Michael Schwimer are being reverted, because they are considered inappropriate for Wikipedia. When this happens multiple times, the solution is not to continue edit warring on the article, but instead to start a discussion on the talk page about the problems with your changes. Specifically, the problem is that your edits seems like an ad for jambospicks.com and Schwimer in general. That company is mentioned without any sources and given way to much weight in the lead. Swimmer is known as a former baseball player, and the article should reflect that. Some of your changes might be appropriate, but currently they are bulk-rejected, because the most of them are unacceptable. ― Heb the best (talk) 22:12, 21 May 2019 (UTC)
