ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message
[edit]Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:29, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

[edit]You gonna help this guy? Really? Polygnotus (talk) 00:40, 20 March 2025 (UTC)
- Some of the edits are helpful, some aren't. I don't view it as helping him, but rather improving the article. He's added sources for a range of the items that needed them - not what I'd call ideal sources (they're not exactly the New York Times or the FT), but sufficient for uncontroversial material, at very least. - ANI & RPPI. I wouldn't reward such behaviour. Polygnotus (talk) 00:46, 20 March 2025 (UTC)

Page edits
[edit]Hello, I am making changes in Wikipedia page which incorrectly states the information for a person but these changes keep on undo stating the reasons of promotional stuff, anyone can help me out? EJAZ72 (talk) 09:11, 25 March 2025 (UTC)
- 1. Take your proposed edits to the article talk page, and start a discussion there.
- 2. If you're connected to the article's subject, you have a conflict of interest, and shouldn't be editing the article. BubbaJoe123456 (talk) 11:27, 25 March 2025 (UTC)

The History of Latymer
[edit]Hi @BubbaJoe123456, thanks for the revert. Totally understand your point about the level of detail and apologies that I got a bit carried away. I’ve been rereading the Latymer history book by Morris recently and have just been keen to share some of the context more widely, but I get that it needs to stay balanced and relevant.
I was wondering if there might still be room for a couple of details that seem important to the school’s early history, like the fact that the will was contested, which delayed the school’s opening until 1634, and that the first headmaster was only appointed after the legal dispute. I think those details help clarify the actual foundation timeline as otherwise it would lead people to assume the school was operating as a school in 1624, but I’d really appreciate your take on whether they’d fit in cleanly with the rest of the section.
Thanks again for the guidance, and happy to rework it if needed! The Watcher5292 (talk) 07:25, 2 May 2025 (UTC)
