Hey there CarrotMan! This is a friendly reminder to update your status at Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User/Adoptee's Area/Adopters whenever it is appropriate in order to provide new users with the most up-to-date information on available adopters. Also please note that we will be removing adopters who have not edited in 60 days. If you become active again (and we hope you do!) please feel free to re-add yourself. Cheers! |

Un-autoblock request
[edit]Hey man - thanks for the help with my edit today. I was adding to the page on the 1995 Rugby World Cup, and saw that Steyn came up as a red link, so I at least wanted to get some sort of placeholder language there. I appreciate the assistance.

Shhhh...
[edit]"pencil sharpener" is "Bleistiftspitzer", *or* "Anspitzer" ("Spitzer" for short), not "Bleistiftanspitzer" :-) See de:Bleistiftspitzer. Also, in case you were wondering why Germans call a cordless mouse "Funkmaus", it's because "Funk" means "radio" (and "-maus" means "mouse", obviously ;-)) -- 78.43.93.25 (talk) 18:29, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
Two things
[edit]First, apparently this is how I thank you for reverting vandalism on my userpage; my sincerest apologies for that. Second, I've semi'd your userpage for three days, since this appears to be an I.P.-hopping vandal. Let me know if you want it lifted before that (or extended, for that matter). Jake, we have found your alter ego

Quick thanks
[edit]Thought I'd thank you for undoing my accidental edit. I was using Huggle and accidentally started undoing an edit that had removed vandalism. I tried to stop it using the tools in-program so I could revert it, but the program crashed. I came back- and Poof! you had fixed it. Thanks again, Lozeldafan (talk) 22:03, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
Adoption
[edit]Hi CarrotMan,
I've started to clean up the Adopters' list. You appear to appear to have been editing only sporadically in the last months. I wonder if you're still interested in adopting new users. If you're not interested any more, would you mind removing yourself? Thank you and happy editing, Snowolf How can I help? 10:59, 20 April 2010 (UTC)

You are invited to the first ever Reading Wiki Meetup which will take place at Copa, 76-78 Kings Road, Reading, RG1 3BJ on Sunday 23 September 2012 from 1.00 pm.
I hope as many people as possible will be able to attend so that we can make this a regular event. If you have never been to one, this is an opportunity to meet other Wikipedians in an informal atmosphere for Wiki and non-Wiki related chat and for beer or food if you like. Experienced and new contributors are all welcome. This event is definitely not restricted just to discussion of Berkshire related topics. Bring your laptop if you like and use the free Wifi or just bring yourself. Even better, bring a friend! Click the link for full details. Looking forward to seeing you.
