Cypher System

[edit]

Dear Claudine!

Thank you for your message! I am very glad that foreign language sources are allowed on EN Wikipedia - in case of dominance of RPGnet on the English Net, such thing certainly makes working easier. And please, do look at my draft when you will have some time, I have never written an article from 0, so there's possibility that I have done something wrong. Also, it's also possible that I will change a thing here and there, so there's certainly nothing "set in stone" yet.

Best wishes! :3

Articles for Creation backlog drive

[edit]

Hello ClaudineChionh:

WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in June!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than 1 month of outstanding reviews from the current 3+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 June 2025 through 30 June 2025.

You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.

Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 3200 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:25, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you!

The Anti-Vandalism Barnstar

Can you please stop posting threats on my user page?

[edit]

Regarding the nature of the talk page, I confess that it is a bit related to a forum. But judging by a newcomer, you should be careful with that. First warning not to follow the "do not bite the newcomer" article. 14.185.205.13 (talk) 05:25, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

14.185.205.13, I don't see the wording of that message (singular) as a 'threat' but I guess that's open to interpretation. And I may have misinterpreted your message on the BSoD talk page – were you actually asking about the images used in the article? I do see many IP users posting unrelated requests for tech support on IT-related talk pages so I may have been too trigger-happy in this case. trout Self-trout— ClaudineChionh (she/her · talk · email · global) 05:43, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits on 7 churches of asia

[edit]

Archaeologists, historians, protestants and every sane person agrees the 7 churches of asia were real churches in modern day Turkey. There is no reason to say that according to catholic church the seven churches existed. That's like writing on Sun article that according to Albert Einstein, the sun is real. It's redudant and wordy. 2601:940:C100:7AF0:A12B:C3B1:A242:8123 (talk) 09:02, 23 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@C.Fred is one of many editors who has asked you nicely to abide by the principles of WP:CIVILITY, but judging by your repeated insults and disruptive editing, this clearly this has fallen on deaf ears. Rift (talk) 00:28, 26 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Tag removed (Db person)

[edit]

Abdullah Al Imran, It shouldn't have been tagged for deletion in the middle of working on an article, it was my mistake that I started working without tagging it. For now, it's still in progress. Dv24mail (talk) 07:45, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The subject has received independent news coverage at the national level in its native Bengali language and meet to WP:GNG. Dv24mail (talk) 07:48, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Dv24mail: In that case, I'd recommend moving it to Drafts so you can keep working on it undisturbed. I can move it for you if you want. You can't tell other editors not to add maintenance or cleanup tags to an article that has been published to the main encyclopaedia. — ClaudineChionh (she/her · talk · email · global) 07:54, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I started working on improving it after seeing it. I saw the delete tag in it. I'm going to move it to draft and continue working on it. Thank you very much! Dv24mail (talk) 07:57, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

A toast!

Welcome to the drive!

Welcome, welcome, welcome ClaudineChionh! I'm glad that you are joining the June 2025 drive! Please, have a cup of WikiTea, and go cite some articles.

Articles for creation: CSOP Asset Management

[edit]

Dear reviewer

The draft cites mostly independent and renowned business reporting sources and official exchange press releases. I wonder what kinds of sources could be verified as notability apart from these. I am grateful if you could give me some specific advice and examples. Thanks! Maggie JL (talk) 07:19, 3 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Help with the post feedback on RentMacha

[edit]

Hi Claudine,

Would need help to understand how to get the article on RentMacha live - https://www.rentmacha.com It is a company similar to this one - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Furlenco

Would you suggest we follow a similar script? Also any specific example you could share that might serve as a reference to make the edit worthy of Wikipedia guidelines.

Thank you for your help! Appreciate your inputs and support! Lumenark (talk) 13:47, 15 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Lumenark: I assume you are referring to the draft RentMacha.com that I declined, not another draft that I haven't seen yet. The fundamental question you should ask is not, "What do I do to get this included?" but, "Does this belong in an encyclopaedia in the first place?" Wikipedia is not a business directory or advertising platform and we're not interested in promotional content or routine business activities. When I assess drafts about companies or organisations, what I want to know is: What can reliable sources tell me about this organisation that I won't find on its own website or social media, press releases, or promotional interviews? Do these sources demonstrate that the organisation meets the notability criteria for companies and organisations? Please follow that link to read the detailed explanation of the criteria. What sources do you have to support the inclusion of this company? — ClaudineChionh (she/her · talk · email · global) 01:19, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. You're invited to participate in The World Destubathon. We're aiming to destub a lot of articles and also improve longer stale articles. It will be held from Monday June 16 - Sunday July 13. There is over $3300 going into it, with $500 the top prize. If you are interested in winning something to save you money in buying books for future content, or just see it as a good editathon opportunity to see a lot of articles improved for subjects which interest you, sign up on the page in the participants section if interested. Even if you can only manage a few articles they would be very much appreciated and help make the content produced as diverse and broad as possible! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 18:15, 15 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Mailah Baldemor

[edit]

Hello ClaudineChionh. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Mailah Baldemor, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7. Thank you. ThadeusOfNazereth(he/him)Talk to Me! 13:03, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@ThadeusOfNazereth: Thanks for the note (and I did mean to reply earlier!) I think my PEACOCK filter (which may need recalibration) may have caused me to judge this too hastily. ClaudineChionh (she/her · talk · email · global) 13:29, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
All good! I'm not sure she will actually pass GNG if it were fully evaluated, but my reading of the NSAC and the discussion of her influence on other artists was enough to not delete speedily. ThadeusOfNazereth(he/him)Talk to Me! 13:57, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question on the English Invasion of Acadia (1654)

[edit]

Hi Claudine.

1st of all I love that Trout template. It makes me think you can be both serious and fun.

2nd thank you for the work you do on vandalism. One of the articles I work on has been vandalized a lot lately. I really appreciate what you anti vandal editors do. I think one thing all dedicated editors can agree on is that we hate vandalism.

3rd I saw that you are working on assessing my newest article. Thank you. Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can be of any assistance to you. (: Historyguy1138 (talk) 02:22, 24 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome, and thank you for your efforts! I came across this while reviewing recently accepted articles and do enjoy reading about historical events that I knew nothing about. The only major change I'm going to make is to rename it to English invasion of Acadia – sentence case per Wikipedia:Manual of Style § Article titles, sections, and headings, and I don't think there were any other English invasions of Acadia (?) so the year isn't needed in the title. Correct me if I'm wrong on that one! ClaudineChionh (she/her · talk · email · global) 02:29, 24 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Huzzah a fellow lover of history and culture. Excellent. Which periods/people/events do you enjoy studying? Have you made or helped edit any articles yourself as of yet?
There actually were several most of them took place during the French and Indian Wars. But one that took place as an invasion by itself was Samuel Argall who invaded in 1613 Samuel Argall#Raid on Acadia. Sadly this does not have its very own article yet. Perhaps someday I will look into if I can find some extensive sources. But right now I am wrapping up 3 articles on Fijian history.
This article was partially created for the List of Colonial American Wars in the 17th century and its related articles so the 1613 Samuel Argall#Raid on Acadia and the 1654 raid are actually very useful in terms of name for this reason. Both are on that list. (: Historyguy1138 (talk) 02:36, 24 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I actually would request that you change the title back please and thank you. Specifically to distinguish between the 1613 and 1710 invasions and for the sake of the List of Colonial American Wars in the 17th century and the List of wars involving England articles please. 😅Thanks. (: Historyguy1138 (talk) 02:48, 24 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I've moved it to English invasion of Acadia (1654) to keep it in sentence case and am now going to clean up any messes I might have left...
I studied Australian history and modern British history at university, but that was a while ago and I'm always learning more thanks to Wikipedia 🙂 ClaudineChionh (she/her · talk · email · global) 02:53, 24 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much for your kindness and humility, and thank you for your reviews. I can see by your chat that you do a thank less job and people automatically take the "ah your picking on me approach" frankly they seem immature and you handle yourself like an adult. Thank you for all that you do. I salute you. 🫡
Oooooh very cool. I have a general knowledge of European history, modern history, and world history, but my speciality is American history and theology.
And I see you are a Polyglot wow color me impressed. Tell me are you a fan of tolkein?
I also see you speak multiple languages. That is amazing. Actually speaking of that I must ask you are you at all familiar with Russian history. There is one particular area in Russian and Chinese history that I am looking into, but I am not sure if there are many articles about it in English. Historyguy1138 (talk) 03:04, 24 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your patience! I'm really more of a dabbler than a proper polyglot – I classify my level-1 languages as "can read very slowly, with a dictionary". I am very much out of Tolkien's league!
I have read some Russian and Chinese history, but I haven't done much editing in those areas and haven't really kept up with the research. ClaudineChionh (she/her · talk · email · global) 03:20, 24 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Well in any case thank you for the hard work you do.
"I am very much out of Tolkien's league!" As am I, but then again linguistically you are out of mine. :D
To any degree familiar with the October 9th 1911 bombing of the Russian Concession in Hankou and the subsequent Battle of Yangxia during the Wuchang Uprising? (: Historyguy1138 (talk) 03:25, 24 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I can't help you with those! First half of the twentieth century is a bit of a knowledge gap for me, even though I've read a fair bit on the nineteenth century and on post-WWII. ClaudineChionh (she/her · talk · email · global) 03:31, 24 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ah very good. No worries. Thank you for everything.
Please if there is anything I can help you with feel free to reach out. Always happy to help the anti vandal editors. Don't be a stranger.
You rock. (; Historyguy1138 (talk) 03:35, 24 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

June Backlog Drive is almost over!

[edit]
Our pending drafts!

Hi! Thanks for participating in the Articles for Creation June Backlog Drive! We've done amazing work so far, dropping the backlog by more than 2000 drafts already. We have around 400 drafts outstanding, and we need your help to get that down to zero in 5 days. We can do this, but we need all hands on deck to make this happen. A list of the pending drafts can be found at WP:AFCSORT, where you can select submissions in your area of interest. Thank you so much for your work so far, and happy reviewing! – DreamRimmer 01:29, 25 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
