@Baffle gab1978 Thanks for answering the request. I mean, I think the article is a good standard, I just want to make sure because of the potential exposure of the article because it is of a living person after all. Cltjames (talk) 12:39, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I understand your concerns. I take our BLP policy seriously and I will flag up any uncited material that could be controversial, negative or damaging. I don't often check citations because the onus isn't on a copy-editor, unless something looks odd and I need to check for prose reasons. Cheers, Baffle☿gab 20:15, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I've now finished my c/e; I didn't feel a need to check any refs. Good luck with the article and cheers, Baffle☿gab 00:26, 28 December 2024 (UTC).[reply]
@Baffle gab1978 Thanks again for the fine tuning. It was a good effort today. Cltjames (talk) 03:41, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Copy paste move

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:List of legendary rulers of Wales a different title by cutting its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into List of legendary rulers of Wales. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. --YodinT 18:38, 24 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
