New page reviewer granted
[edit]Hi DoctorWhoFan91, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the new page reviewer user right to your account. This means you now have access to the page curation tools and can start patrolling pages from the new pages feed. If you asked for this at requests for permissions, please check back there to see if your access is time-limited or if there are other comments.
This is a good time to re-acquaint yourself with the guidance at Wikipedia:New pages patrol. Before you get started, please take the time to:
- Add Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers to your watchlist to follow NPP-related discussions
- If you use Twinkle, configure it to log your CSDs and PRODs
- If you can read any languages other than English, add yourself to the list of reviewers with language proficiencies
You can find a list of other useful links and tools for patrollers at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Resources. If you are ever unsure what to do, ask your fellow patrollers or just leave the page for someone else to review – you're not alone! Hey man im josh (talk) 19:43, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
2025 WikiCup
[edit]Would you have any interest in co-creating some GAs and possibly FLs for the upcoming wikicup? I ask as we're both signed up. You listed yourself under season 13 as a contributor on the goals page so if you were interested maybe we could start there? Questions? four Olifanofmrtennant (she/her) 08:32, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, I would be happy to- there have been many articles and lists I have been putting off bcs I didn't wanna edit alone, so it would help that too. Perhaps we could start with the revived series first- I want to watch the story before I edit about it- and I have only watched Pyramid of Mars yet in season 13. Edits to vetulicolian redirects
[edit]Hi @DoctorWhoFan91 - thanks for reviewing the redirect pages. I'm a little confused over the "A Reviewer has suggested changes" notifications as I've not seen those before, and the changes appear to have alaredy been made? Is there something else I'm supposed to do in response?
I'm also not sure they are all correct, but I am not familiar with these categorizations at all. I'm confused about:
- Banffozoan is not a plural, it's the adjective form of Banffozoa (Banffozoans would be the plural adjective)
- Banffia episoma: Banffia is not monotypic, if I understand that marker correctly- it contains both B. constricta and B. episoma
- Vetulicolid is the adjective form of Vetulicolidae, not a short form or alternative name
- Vetulicola gangoucunensis... um.. I accidentally made a mess here and I'm not sure how to fix it.
- Vetulicola is also not a monotypic genus; it has at least 5 species
- I meant to create Vetulicola gangtoucunensis (note the "t") as an alternative spelling of Vetulicola gantoucunensis (note the lack of "g" before "t"), but typo'd it in the link. The discovery paper for this species actually uses both spellings, apparently interchangeably. Should it be renamed, or should we leave it as a very plausible typo (three variations: "g", "t", and "gt") and create a new redirect for the "gt" spelling?
- I think that a misspelling would not get a "with possibilities" tag?
Thanks again for reviewing the pages!

- I have no idea about the notifications- those appear only when the reviewer actually suggests something, which I haven't done, so I have no idea how it got there.
- Banffozoan, Vetulicolid-I was confused if it was a plural or an adjective, as it was used as a noun in sentences. So, they are adjectives?
- Ohh, I misunderstood monotypic
- Sorry, I didn't even notice the typo- it's a very long species name. Umm, yeah, I'll change that to typo. You can create a ew redirect, that would be alt name.
- Thanks for letting me know, I might have made the same mistakes somewhere else too. DoctorWhoFan91 (talk) 15:05, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
