NPP Awards for 2024

[edit]

The New Page Reviewer's Iron Award

This award is given in recognition to GTrang for conducting 486 article reviews in 2024. Thank you so much for all your excellent work. Keep it up! Hey man im josh (talk) 18:13, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Hey man im josh: I have actually made 576 article reviews (and 8 redirect reviews) in 2024. But thanks for the award anyway. GTrang (talk) 04:24, 25 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@GTrang: My understanding is the query used counts the current state of the articles marked as reviewed, some of which, based on your log, are red links or were turned into redirects. Hey man im josh (talk) 23:57, 26 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

NPP request

[edit]

Hi there, I noticed you marked FAIRR Initiative as reviewed (it's temporarily on my watchlist from tagging), but didn't remove the notability tag. If you determined that the organization cleared the appropriate notability guideline, would you mind removing the maintenance tag when you mark it as reviewed? Thanks! Dclemens1971 (talk) 04:15, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Dclemens1971: I have nominated FAIRR Initiative for deletion. Note that the article had already been removed from Special:NewPagesFeed, so I had to re-add it to the feed before using the page curation toolbar to nominate it at AfD. GTrang (talk) 04:21, 25 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

2030

[edit]

I'm a bit confused. On the one hand, you've marked Draft:2030 under review, presumably with the intention of accepting it, but you have reverted the article existence to restore the redirect. If there is an article that could be there, it should be kept and (if necessary) expanded with material from the draft. On that note, though, I am not seeing any copy/paste pagemove from the article to the draft; the lead sentence is a stock sentence that every year has (along with the sidebar) so I do not think that really counts as a "copy/paste". I'm also not seeing a ton of similar content between 4 Nov of the article and 17 Dec of the draft. I guess I'm just looking for some clarity. Primefac (talk) 08:17, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Transcluding sections among articles

[edit]

Please stop transcluding article sections among articles. This surprises and confuses editors. Also, each article should stand on its own merits and contain its own citations. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jc3s5h (talkcontribs) 15:04, 24 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy Deletion

[edit]

A page I created was deleted without so much as an attempt to let me know what they felt was a problem on the page. How do I get it undeleted or at least get back the work I did, so I can continue to try to fix whatever was wrong. 5th Transportation Command (Terminal) ROBERT J COURTEMANCHE (talk) 22:11, 7 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Articles for Creation backlog drive

[edit]

Hello GTrang:

WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in June!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than 1 month of outstanding reviews from the current 3+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 June 2025 through 30 June 2025.

You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.

Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 3200 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:25, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
