CU blocked editor with no edits

[edit]

Hi Harry, can you have a look at UTRS appeal #104361? Judging by their stated interests my guess is that they're collateral damage on a set of spamblocks you made with CU. -- asilvering (talk) 06:20, 29 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Asilvering apologies for the delay. Anything is possible but from memory they were on the same proxy as the account mentioned in the block log and had an identical user agent. I wouldn't vehemently oppose unblocking with rope but it might not do much good: the IP they've inputted is a blocked proxy. I'd be a lot less sceptical if they were connecting from a home or mobile IP. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 10:13, 5 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Administrator elections will take place this month. Administrator elections are an alternative to RFA that is a gentler process for candidates due to secret voting and multiple people running together. The call for candidates is July 9–15, the discussion phase is July 18–22, and the voting phase is July 23–29. Get ready to submit your candidacy, or (with their consent) to nominate a talented candidate!
