Thanks

[edit]

I can't work out how to do a "thanks" using the app but thanks for this. I agree wholeheartedly - we have had phases of this battleground stuff before in the India topic area but this lot, with their multiple SPI/AE/ANI etc reports where they consistently take sides as them/us groups is as bad as I have ever seen. - Sitush (talk) 17:53, 29 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Togggle

[edit]

Hi Ivanvector,

Just got to know about this: [1]

As acknowledged by me before, Togggle profile belongs to me. But there was some edit from this profile on 22 April. I don't know how my password got compromised. Can you please share what did he comment on 22 April? It has become a curious case for me. Dympies (talk) 04:03, 1 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

What is private Wiki?

[edit]

Just curious. You mentioned 'private Wiki' here- [2]. What does it mean? Akshaypatill (talk) 15:57, 7 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Akshaypatill: checkusers are bound by the access to nonpublic personal data policy, which limits what we're allowed to disclose publicly, which is why you see us using vague findings like "confirmed" and "possible" and "unrelated" in sockpuppet investigations. The checkuser wiki is a separate private wiki where we can record more detailed notes about active investigations, which is only accessible to other users who have signed the policy. That way we can share information amongst ourselves without revealing sensitive private information about Wikipedia users. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 18:38, 7 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I didn't know that. So you guys running CIA and FBI level stuff behind the scenes, great. :-) Akshaypatill (talk) 15:16, 8 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
