Lists
[edit]Hello! I just came across the title of your contribution for the WikiConference North America 2024 about creating lists. I am myself trying to figure out how to create a list for a Wikidata project page I am working on. I would like to have a list for certain artists from a specific museum collection. Is the content of your presentation available online somewhere by any chance? Or do you have resources you can point me to? I have a hard time finding straightforward information on this topic. - @Jarekt Great! The institution is Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal (Q2235294). My idea was to create a tab on our project page where we could list all the artists that have works in the museum's collection P6379 (and ideally it could be updated as more data is entered in Wikidata). I know how to create a query to get a list of all the results but I'm missing the step of adding it to the project page. My only worry is that there are hundreds of artists - is that too much? - Spaghetti.linguini, I updated d:Wikidata:WikiProject Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal/Liste des artistes et collectifs . See Template:Wikidata list for documentation on how to customize the table. Clicking "Manually update the list" will recreate the table based on your changes or changes to the wikidata (after a few minute delay). --Jarekt (talk) 15:55, 7 March 2025 (UTC)

- Spaghetti.linguini, On the project page you change inputs to Template:Wikidata list, save, hit "Manually update the list" link and wait for 10 minutes. You can also create lists of artwork properties, etc. --Jarekt (talk) 20:21, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
