Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Big Cricket League requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. A tag has been placed on Big Cricket League (BCL), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". - Hi,
- The page that was created was not for advertisement or for spaming others. It's purely educational explaining a popular league in India. And as there are already pages on other leagues like the Indian Premier League, Indian Street Premier League and such, why aren''t they removed if that's advertising? The page didn't had any promotional values, it only explained the process of the league and how it's loved by the audience. Kkumarii komal (talk) 07:53, 8 February 2025 (UTC)

Copying material to Wikipedia from elsewhere
[edit]It is almost never suitable to copy content from another web site to Wikipedia, for more than one reason, the most important being copyright. When you post anything to Wikipedia you release it for anyone in the world to reuse it, either unchanged or modified in any way whatever, subject to attribution to Wikipedia. It is very rare that the owner of a web site licenses content for such very free reuse, and in those few occasions when they do so, we require proof of the fact. We don't assume that content is freely licensed on the unsubstantiated say so of just anyone who comes along and creates a Wikipedia account. JBW (talk) 10:43, 8 February 2025 (UTC)
- The material which was in the first draft of the page that I created was nowhere copied from anywhere. All i did was provide the source of the information that i was using for the article. Kkumarii komal (talk) 11:38, 8 February 2025 (UTC)
- What?? There were whole paragraphs of the page you created which were word for word identical to text at https://www.bigcricketleague.com/about and you must know it. JBW (talk) 14:38, 8 February 2025 (UTC)
- Well, that was the reason why the citation and links were connected to the website itself. Kkumarii komal (talk) 05:51, 10 February 2025 (UTC)
- Attribution is not sufficient. The content must be written in your own words. Please review the links in the following message:

Managing a conflict of interest
[edit] Hello, Kkumarii komal. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Big Cricket League, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Cabayi (talk) 10:36, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
Big Cricket League moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Big Cricket League. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Cabayi (talk) 11:00, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
- Have submitted the draft for review, how much time it usually takes for the review to be completed and getting a feedback? Kkumarii komal (talk) 11:40, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
- You submitted it for review, then you removed the review tags and moved it back to mainspace without waiting for the review to happen. Cabayi (talk) 20:27, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Also, moving an unsuitable article to draftspace provides an opportunity for improvement, and returning it to mainspace while it is still unsuitable is likely to lead to deletion. JBW (talk) 21:33, 12 February 2025 (UTC)
- Could you please highlight the paragraphs or lines that indicated promotion or advertising? Kkumarii komal (talk) 05:56, 13 February 2025 (UTC)
- Paragraphs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6 all contained unambiguously promotional language, with much of paragraphs 4 & 5 reading like straight marketing copy. JBW (talk) 14:07, 13 February 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feedback, will try to change it Kkumarii komal (talk) 07:40, 14 February 2025 (UTC)
- Is there a way where I can share the written material and it's reviewed in a day? The draft review takes 2 months. Kkumarii komal (talk) 07:41, 14 February 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feedback, will try to change it Kkumarii komal (talk) 07:40, 14 February 2025 (UTC)
