Interface administrator changes
- Following an RfC, administrator elections were permanently authorized on a five-month schedule. The next election will be scheduled soon; see Wikipedia talk:Administrator elections for more information. This is an alternate process to the RfA process and does not replace the latter.
- An RfC was closed with consensus to allow editors to opt-out of seeing "sticky decorative elements". Such elements should now be wrapped in {{sticky decoration wrapper}}. Editors who wish to opt out can follow the instructions at WP:STICKYDECO.
- An RfC has resulted in a broad prohibition on the use of AI-generated images in articles. A few common-sense exceptions are recognized.
- A New Pages Patrol backlog drive is happening in May 2025 to reduce the backlog of articles in the new pages feed. Sign up here to participate!

GOCE Hall of Fame
[edit]Hi! The instructions at WP:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/GOCE Hall of Fame say to contact a coordinator, so I'd like to nominate Dhtwiki (feel free to ping them if you wish). I'm not really sure how HoF nominations work, since/but it's been 4 years since our last Hall of Famer and I think we're due for a new one. In addition to copyediting over one million words and hundreds of articles (yes, unfortunately, I checked), Dhtwiki has been part of the Guild since 2014 and has served as a Guild coordinator for five terms (since 2021) as well as lead coordinator for four terms (since 2023). Again, not sure how the process works really or even of the HoF is still active (I don't think any of the GOCE project pages link to it), so would appreciate advice. Thanks, and cheers! - Great idea, and thanks for the suggestion; I've emailed Mox Eden and coord emeritus Jonesey95. All the best, Miniapolis 15:52, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
- Yeah sure, why not? Mox Eden (talk) 02:30, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
- Since it's unanimous (Jonesey95 created a sandbox page with GoldRomean's post here), I'll let Dhtwiki know. All the best, Miniapolis 17:59, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
