Dari/Persian IP changes
[edit]Hi Noorullah21. I have noticed IPs from particular ranges (5.123.0.0/16 and 5.124.0.0/16) repeatedly changing Dari to Persian across a wide range of Afghanistan-related articles for some time now. - @Mellk Yes, I've seen it sporadically across Afghanistan's provincial pages for a long time as well, such as Herat Province, which has happened a lot. It is definitely a form of Long term Abuse between accounts, likely sockpuppetery. Really just ranges between where it happens. Noorullah (talk) 21:52, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for confirming. I don't think a range block is feasible for the IPs mentioned above (it would be too wide), but I have noticed the more recent disruption coming from those ranges. I submitted a report at ANI before but it seems no admin was interested in dealing with this. Mellk (talk) 22:24, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
