Neutrality

I reverted most of your rewrite of the lead of smoking. While it was appropriate to mention the addictive nature of many drugs that are smoked, your wording smacked of a political agenda. Please keep in mind that describing something that you might not approve of in words that are not overtly negative does not mean that it's positive, only that it's not negative.

Smoking generally refers to tobacco smoking, an addiction marketed by tobacco sellers as a recreational activity, in which tobacco is burnt and the smoke inhaled. Tobacco smoking releases a highly-addictive substance from the tobacco, nicotine, which along with a host of debilitating and cancer-causing substances is absorbed through the lungs. Before its addictive and health-destroying properties were recognized, it was used in rituals. The most common method of smoking today is through cigarettes, either industrially manufactured marketed or rolled with loose tobacco and a rolling paper. Other forms, though less common, are pipes, cigars, bongs, and hookahs.

Smoking is one of the more common forms of addictive drug use, and the sale of tobacco products is as lucrative for the tobacco sellers as it is unprofitable for the smokers. Tobacco smoking is today by far the most common form of smoking and is practiced by over one billion people in the majority of all human societies. Less common drugs for smoking include cannabis and opium. Many drugs classified as hard narcotics like heroin and crack cocaine can also be smoked, but the use of these is limited to marginalized groups.

could you please learn how to use the drop down citation template? in the left hand corner of your editing window. The ( not unwelcome) addition you made to Particulate matter were huge and messy as a result of your unconventional pasting. also they are, well, rather random and unorganized in the section. there are at least 8 studies about autism and PM exposure like the ones you added, so how did you choose these two? if yo arent sure how to edit, I advise just leave info on the talkpage and let someone else do it.
