Hello, I understand for the "Borders of China" article, but, for the "Democratic Republic of Congo" article, this time, I don’t understand why my edit got reverted since it’s adding one information. It will be great if you answer. Thank you. QwertyZ34 (talk) 21:54, 18 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi QwertyZ34. Thank you for your work on Shodoba. Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Thanks for adding this jamoat; as an inhabited place it is likely to be notable. It would be great to expand it, perhaps with information including its coordinates.

Deletion discussion about Guinea-Bissau (disambiguation)

[edit]

Hello QwertyZ34, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Guinea-Bissau (disambiguation), should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Guinea-Bissau (disambiguation).

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|MPGuy2824}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

(Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Thanks for your contributions to Ces messieurs de la gâchette. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia. Fram (talk) 07:44, 31 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Fram, sorry for any inconvenience I made on Wikipedia; I didn't wanted to, I realised these sources aren't reliable. I found, for the Indian--Guntur district related articles, this source (which mentions all the villages in Guntur district):[1]. For the scientifics--vine species articles, @Relativity added a reliable source to Passiflora pilosicorona,[2] I think its reliable, since you haven't drafted the article. Please, tell me if the sources listed below, are reliable, and sufficient for their corresponding article. Happy editing to you. QwertyZ34 (talk) 15:38, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I doubt that that source about the villages is actually a reliable source, but in any case all it does is give a name, it gives no information at all, so you can't base an article on it. Fram (talk) 15:48, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The source will be relied to ex: Karlapudi is a village in Guntur district[3] | making the source actually reliable to the sentence, since its content lists all the villages in Guntur district. QwertyZ34 (talk) 15:54, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know what you think, but I highly think that the articles should not be deleted/drafted, after this discussion. QwertyZ34 (talk) 15:36, 9 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Literally all you have is "7 Karlapudi". That's it. In what way is that sufficient to write an article? Please see WP:GNG and the need for indepth sources about the subject. Fram (talk) 15:48, 9 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
First of all, this source mention ALL the villages of Guntur district. These articles are stub and don't need to have too much sources. QwertyZ34 (talk) 15:59, 9 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Feel free to use the WP:AFC process to get an idea how others feel about these. And no, a source which lists all villages without further information about them is not an indepth source for this or that village, just like a telephone directory isn't an indepth source for any one person in it. There is no exception for stubs with regards to sourcing, I don't know where you got that idea. Fram (talk) 16:27, 9 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I will search for better, in depth sources. QwertyZ34 (talk) 16:20, 10 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ces messieurs de la gâchette moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Ces messieurs de la gâchette. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and in particular, the article needs at least two and preferably three reliable independent sources with significant coverage of the subject. There's useful information about how to choose good sources and avoid bad sources here. For films, full length reviews by respected critics are a good source for establishing notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. SunloungerFrog (talk) 18:16, 19 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Sources

[edit]

Hello. Your edit summary at Liechtenstein was puzzling. If you have sources, you ought to cite them in the article. Your comment implies an expectation that a reader who wants a source for information in the article where one isn't given is going to pull up the page's history and find the edit where the info was added to see if the contributor had offered to supply a source on request. Can you clarify? Largoplazo (talk) 12:50, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I thought that citing a source in the footnote would be unnecessary; I realised that it is necessary. Sorry for the confusion, I will add sources. QwertyZ34 (talk) 15:50, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Ohamaremba

[edit]

Hello, QwertyZ34,

Thank you for creating Ohamaremba.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

WP policy WP:NPLACE requires more sources to demonstrate that the place has books/articles talking about the place. Article currently does not have sufficient sources.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Noleander}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

[edit]

Warning icon Please refrain from hijacking pages, as you did with Ngong. Should you believe the subject you were writing about deserves an article, please use the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version that you can then get feedback on. Please also see Wikipedia's disambiguation guideline which indicates how to handle separate subjects with similar names. If you continue to hijack an existing article, you may be blocked from editing. If you have any questions, you are always welcome to ask me on my talk page. Copying/translating content within Wikipedias requires attribution

[edit]

Hi. I see in a recent addition to Guayaquil you included material translated from the Spanish Wikipedia. That's okay, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. It's also required under the terms of the license. Attribution is provided by saying in your edit summary that the material was copied, and where you got it. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Please make sure that you follow this licensing requirement when copying between Wikipedias in the future. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 13:37, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, sorry, I forgot to attribute QwertyZ34 (talk) 19:55, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Mirrors

[edit]

Information icon Thanks for contributing to the article Slovakia. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Most mirrors are clearly labeled as such, but some are in violation of our license and do not provide the correct attribution. Please help by adding alternate sources to the article you edited! If you need any help or clarification, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. Thank you. Sam Kuru (talk) 19:51, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, my bad! I haven’t realised that it was a mirror source; thanks for warning me from this. QwertyZ34 (talk) 19:54, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Recognizing reliable sources

[edit]

You recently cited World Population Review here. It is self-published, so it is not a reliable source. It has been discussed several times before at the reliable sources noticeboard:

Do not cite it. --Worldbruce (talk) 19:56, 9 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I will not cite this non-reliable source anymore! Anyways, I found sources stating that Dhaka is the 9th most populous city and not the eighth in List of largest cities; the following sources were copied in the article:[1][2] QwertyZ34 (talk) 11:25, 10 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
