Mount Edziza
[edit]I see you fixed the respelling key in the Mount Edziza volcanic complex article. I've done the same in the Mount Edziza article but I'm not sure if the respelling key for the indigenous name needs any capitalization since I'm not really familiar with this stuff. Volcanoguy 21:32, 27 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Volcanoguy: The capitalization in the respelling key indicates the stressed syllable. Regarding the Tahltan pronunciation in Mount Edziza, it should really be written using {{IPA}} instead of {{IPAc-en}}, since it isn't English text. — RAVENPVFF · talk · 16:16, 28 December 2024 (UTC)
- I wasn't the one who added the Tahltan pronunciation so if you or someone else can fix that then please do so. Thanks. Volcanoguy 16:25, 28 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Volcanoguy: I've added the Tahltan IPA with a citation to a relevant paper. I tried to mimic the citation syntax in use in the article, but feel free to adjust it if required. — RAVENPVFF · talk · 17:26, 28 December 2024 (UTC)
- What was your reason for deleting the respell for the Tahltan name? Volcanoguy 18:42, 28 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Volcanoguy: {{respell}} is specifically intended for English words and pronunciations only. It doesn't work with other languages, and trying to approximate an English pronunciation for the Tahltan word would not be appropriate – see MOS:RESPELL for guidance. — RAVENPVFF · talk · 21:11, 28 December 2024 (UTC)
