Changes you made
[edit]Hi Rupert1904,
I dont understand your comments. The OFFICIAL names of the clubs are also what they are in Wikipedia. You changed Gaziantep FK to Gaziantep, Çorum FK to Çorum, Fatih Karagümrük SK to Fatih Karagümrük as three examples. But check the wikipedia pages, they are indeed Gaziantep FK, Çorum FK, Fatih Karagümrük FK, respectively. All the other teams you have changed have similar situations. All of those names are recognized by Wikipedia and the names that are used in Wikipedia. You can click below and see the title of the pages.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaziantep_F.K. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Çorum_F.K. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fatih_Karagümrük_S.K.
Looking forward to hearing from you on this to understand your logic.
Best regards,

- Hi Batrogenio - if you look at my edits, you will see that I corrected these names to their proper links on wikipedia. For instance Gaziantep FK to Gaziantep F.K. and Fatih Karagümrük to Fatih Karagümrük S.K.. I also corrected links to clubs like Galatasaray which previously went to the sports club article catch all. These are how the wikipedia articles are titled. After that, I am simply piping the names which is common practice on Wikipedia, especially with football clubs. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Rupert1904 (talk) 21:13, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
- And to my point, none of the links you shared above direct to actual articles, which is why I made the improvements. Rupert1904 (talk) 21:25, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
- I understood your approach. When I put [[Gaziantep FK], it actually goes to Gaziantep F.K. site as well, so my understanding was Wikipedia can recognize the naming conventions and can still open the right page. I hear you on your Galatasaray example. Thanks. Batrogenio (talk) 00:50, 12 January 2025 (UTC)
- Some of them redirect yes, but I find that it's also just easy enough to write in the club names as they appear in wikipedia and then pipe. Which is why I made those edits. Great work on building the article! Rupert1904 (talk) 14:16, 13 January 2025 (UTC)

Hello
[edit]Greetings from Bosnia and Herzegovina!
I noticed that you keep changing Ermedin Demirović’s page regarding the table, so I will refer you to Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Players where in the section about the table it states: “In case a player has only played under one league system (for example, only in Portugal), "National cup" and "League cup" can be replaced by the specific names of the cup competitions (in Portugal's case, Taça de Portugal and Taça da Liga), without the need for notes”.
I really hope you accept this and stop changing it.
Thanks! 109.163.168.36 (talk) 11:22, 13 February 2025 (UTC)
- He has played in multiple countries though so that's why we use the notes and don't specify up top. Rupert1904 (talk) 20:22, 13 February 2025 (UTC)
