November 2024

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Bad (album). This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 19:39, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:53, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Thriller (album), it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 16:35, 6 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Doniago, the praise of the hit music on Thriller and of Jackson's vocals is mentioned in the critical reception section. Slowvans321 (talk) 20:40, 6 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Unless a source has explicitly mentioned that the album was generally praised by critics for exactly those things, you can't simply look at the handful of critics we typically list in the reception section and use it to make broader claims as to how the album was received by critics; all the reception section is claiming (short of aggregators) is how individual critics thought of the album. To take the individual reviews and form a broader statement is synthesis. I hope this helps! DonIago (talk) 21:21, 6 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Neymar, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A bare URL error. References show this error when one of the URL-containing parameters cannot be paired with an associated title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 22:36, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Michael Jackson, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Victory Tour. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 07:59, 1 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

How can you delete informations that I add into Lamine Yamal's playing style??? I showed it with proper sources! What are you talking about 'this isn't is CV?'. Those were the informations about his playing style in crucial games, what he did. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Billhicks'slostsoul (talkcontribs)

Same thing I've been telling you, and you've made several similar edits since. I might as well start the reversion process now. Seasider53 (talk) 10:01, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It seems you responded to the wrong person anyway. Seasider53 (talk) 10:02, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Look man, all of what I wrote was a text with solid sources, when you speak in such a high-pitched manner as if you know the truth of everything, I immediately think of this: your personal love for Ronaldo prevents you from accepting the information provided by unbiased sources. The fact that you immediately deleted my post is proof of that. Billhicks'slostsoul (talk) 16:02, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Unbiased is laughable. Please desist from the diatribe additions to articles. Seasider53 (talk) 10:15, 17 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
