Can I have you help with the following I am no programmer. Fundamentally world sailing has changed it website coding from a logical numerical based system to a alpha numberical based system. There have been some attempts to fudge between the two but fundamentally we would be better of starting with new parameters for the old and new database reference. Origionally I would have suggested keeping the old one on the old ID but this has been compromised by a partial change. Can you look at my suggestion on the template usage page and see how possible that would be to implement before I cange it back as my knowledge of coding has let me down. Keep up the good work on the sailing pages. Yachty4000 10:42, 5th Jan 2025 (UTC)

How easy would this be to change so that something like {flagthlete|Jo Bloggs|GBR} /  Jo Bloggs (GBR) could be {flagsailor| |GBRAB2} and return the same thing with the reference link it would be even better if like {yachtclub|} it did require [[]] and removed all the red linking.
