West Bengal
[edit]Hello, Tarunsamanta – Thank you for trying to improve the article on West Bengal. In making this edit, I understand that you were trying to clarify that the building was in West Bengal. However, since the entire article is on West Bengal, any images that are in the article should be of people and places in West Bengal, so it is not necessary to specify in the caption of each image in the article that it is of something in West Bengal. Also, when you added "in west bengal" after "Writers' Building", you broke the wiki-link to the article on Writers' Building. The link should be the same as the title of the article. If you want to add or slightly change what appears in the caption, you can either add words after the second pair of square brackets – that is, after the link, like this:
Writers' Building in West Bengal
or add words after a pipe in the link, like this:
[[Writers' Building|Writers' Building in West Bengal]], which will appear like this in the article:
Writers' Building in West Bengal.
If you hover your mouse over the links, you'll see to what article the links is going.
I thought, rather than say "in West Bengal" (which, as I explained above, is unnecessary), it might be helpful to say where in West Bengal the building is located, so I read the beginning of the article on the Writers' Building, and added information about what the building is and what city is in. – Corinne (talk) 16:19, 2 August 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Rangalal Bandyopadhyay
[edit]Hello Tarunsamanta,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Rangalal Bandyopadhyay for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Deletion discussion about Rangalal Bandyopadhyay
[edit]Hello, Tarunsamanta,
I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Rangalal Bandyopadhyay should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rangalal Bandyopadhyay .
If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
Thanks,

Smita Bakshi moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Smita Bakshi, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Hooghly railway station into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 16:05, 24 June 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Posters and plot
[edit]Please try adding a short plot (written in your own words) in the film articles you are creating. It would be good also if you can add low-resolution posters in the infobox. That gives readers more content to look at. --Titodutta (talk) 17:45, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
- In case you are not sure how to upload a non-free posters and explain non-free content usage rationales, please do not work on uploading posters right away. You may see Wikipedia:Non-free content though. --Titodutta (talk) 17:49, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
Nomination of Kar Pape (film) for deletion
[edit]A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Kar Pape (film) is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kar Pape (film) until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 22:39, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
The article Sanjibani (1952 film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
This film is basically an IMdB mirror. A WP:BEFORE turned up film database sites, youtube videos, and other wikis. Nothing found that could help this film pass WP:NFILM, as it needs at least 2 reviews and none are to be found. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia...not a film database site.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Donaldd23 (talk) 21:08, 5 October 2020 (UTC)
