Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, ReferenceBot (talk) 00:18, 3 February 2016 (UTC)
Your article Homeopathy looks at the horrors of Allopathy
[edit] Welcome, and thank you for contributing the page Homeopathy looks at the horrors of Allopathy to Wikipedia. While you have added the page to the English version of Wikipedia, the article is not in English. We invite you to translate it into English. It has been listed at Pages Needing Translation, but if it is not translated within two weeks, the article will be listed for deletion. Thank you. Largoplazo (talk) 13:51, 25 October 2017 (UTC)
- Oh, come on, show me one Russian word (except for sources). It's a passable English. And then you complain that there's no new contributors...--Victoria (talk) 14:15, 25 October 2017 (UTC)

Manchester meetup - 9 June 2019
[edit]This is an invite to/reminder of the Manchester Meetup on 9 June 2019. Starting at about 1pm on Sunday 9 June in the Sir Ralph Abercombie, 35 Bootle Street, Manchester. Full details are on the Meta page at m:Meetup/Manchester/36. It would be useful if you could say whether you're likely to be coming so we have a rough idea of how many to people expect and how large a table to reserve. Thanks, and hope to see you there. Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]
Hello Victoria! Your additions to Longevity have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § Licensing.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 11:16, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Diannaa,
- I added text from the title page of the book published in 1799, what copyright we are talking about? Victoria (talk) 13:15, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
- "...aims to bring together the cream of longevity techniques from various schools. It juxtaposes text and illustration, and provides information on drugs to be used in conjunction with gymnastic practices" from here. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 13:20, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
- This is in the description of the file on Wikimedia Commons, which is also released under the free licence. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.--Victoria (talk) 13:27, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
- I inserted the image into this topic, so it's easy to find.--Victoria (talk) 13:29, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
- The Wellcome website is compatibly licensed, so the caption is okay to keep. I have reversed my actions and added a citation and an attribution template. When copying prose in the future please say where it came from so that the proper attribution can be included where appropriate. Thanks, — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 18:50, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
