[edit]![]() | This account has been blocked indefinitely as a sockpuppet that was created to violate Wikipedia policy. Note that using multiple accounts is allowed, but using them for illegitimate reasons is not, and that all edits made while evading a block or ban may be reverted or deleted. If this account is not a sockpuppet, and you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}} below. Request reason:
I am appealing what I believe to be an unjust block. Neither this nor account nor myself is a sockpuppet, and I have in no way participated in sockpupetry. This Wikipedia account is the only one I have ever used, and I am unsure why it was blocked. I am by no means a professional or even regularly active editor on the site (I am only just returning to the account after several months), so this seems even more strange that I would be suspected of this. My best guess is that it is related to an article I attempted to expand some months ago. Looking back at the link, it appears that after it was created, it was deemed unnecessary and deleted, then recreated, deleted, and so on several times. I had no part in the attempted recreation of the article, and I believe I did not pursue anything further with it after the first deletion. I may have submitted an appeal on the removal (memory fails me), but this would have been the extent. I in no way attempted to circumvent its deletion via sockpuppetry. Thank you for your time, and happy holidays.
Decline reason:
Based on what I see(which I don't wish to reveal) I believe the reason for the block is correct. Perhaps this is your only account, but that would only make this meat puppetry. 331dot (talk) 14:22, 7 December 2024 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:
I am unsure of your unrevealed reasons, but I will reaffirm that I did not engage in neither sockpuppetry nor meatpuppetry. This is my only account and I came here by my own volition. I believe that it is true that I created my account right before I attempted to create and edit the previously mentioned article which was deleted, and this may be why it seems as if I was directed here in order to work on said article. But this is not true, and I was not influenced by any individuals or groups. My account creation and attempted edits came from a personal and genuine interest in the subject -- a subject that I believed was fit for Wikipedia. It has since been deemed that it is not fit for the site (which you've likely noted), and I do not intend to oppose this decision. However, I still believe my block is unjust and I would like to re-appeal. As mentioned, I do not know what hidden tools you have to investigate this, so it may come down to just word acting as a voucher, however I can guarantee you that my actions are personal to myself and do not stem from external influence. Thank you for your time.
Accept reason:
The block for a single edit is somewhat questionable, even if one can see the reason for the suspiscion of socking. A reasonable explanation has been presented in this request and other admins seem to have accepted it, and I agree that unblocking here is very low risk, so I'm going ahead and doing so. I would advise finding another subject to edit, there are a number of actually notable micronations and literally millions of other articles as well. Someone else will review your request; if you intend to abandon efforts to edit about Ironland, please tell what edits you will make instead. 331dot (talk) 09:32, 15 December 2024 (UTC)
- {{checkuser needed}} for any evidence of recent sockpuppetry. Thanks. -- asilvering (talk) 01:20, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
- The data available is not particularly useful. I tend basically inconclusive.
- That said, I don't really see why blocks were issued here for the contributions to that page and I'd be inclined to give a chance to any reasonably worded appeal, which this almost hits (per 331dot's comment). Izno (talk) 01:42, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hello there! I'm reaching out because we haven't heard from you in a bit! Can you tell us what types of contributions you would like to make if unblocked? Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 22:48, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- Since they edit so infrequently, I don't really want to close this one for lack of reply. Like Izno, I don't see what it is about this one edit that makes this user a clear sockpuppet - anyone want to fill me in? Otherwise, I'm inclined to unblock. @331dot? @Bbb23? -- asilvering (talk) 03:08, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- Hope you don't mind me butting in, but judging from the "master", they most likely edited either the non-notable Ironland or Draft:Ironland. (A microcountry created by a fairly popular Youtuber). I had a chat with @ScottishFinnishRadish, who was also blocking these accounts, and he clarified here that a lot of these blocks were done under WP:MEAT. 03:45, 8 January 2025 (UTC) GreenLipstickLesbian (talk) 03:45, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- Indeed, they've made just a single edit, to the draft version. Along with all but one of the editors of that draft, Zheeeh was blocked for sockpuppetry. But it's a single edit, two weeks after the first video about Ironland was uploaded. It adds an infobox and some text; the infobox is not identical to the infobox added to the deleted article at Ironland. This is an article on a micronation made up by a reasonably popular youtuber. That multiple individual people would start working on a draft about it is hardly surprising. That someone would be no-warning blocked as as sockpuppet, with no SPI or CU data, for making a single edit to a draft on a trending internet topic, is rather surprising, so I assume there's something I'm missing here. -- asilvering (talk) 05:01, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- At the time there were a lot of accounts creating very similar drafts under different titles as other titles were salted, and moving userspace drafts to mainspace. This was going on for several months. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 12:16, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- I'd like to know what they intend to do once unblocked- but as they say they won't be editing about this micronation anymore, I have no objection to unblocking. 331dot (talk) 08:53, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- I can't imagine why anyone would want to unblock this editor, but I would certainly oppose an unblock without a statement from them as to what they would edit if unblocked. Or even if they would edit at all. Based on their "history" before the block and post-block, they don't seem to be interested in doing so. They made a couple of edits back in July at Commons too, creating a flag for this micronation that was deleted as "out of scope".--Bbb23 (talk) 11:41, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- We don't grill people on what they want to edit before they join, so I don't see any reason to do so here, for someone who got excited about a topic and made a single edit about it. For someone with a rather longer history of promotionalism or edit-warring or something, sure, I too would like some additional reassurance. But I don't think we need or ought to go through the extra rigmarole to unblock here, for the same reason I don't think we should ban IP editing and pre-emptively block every new account until they turn in a proposal and CV. -- asilvering (talk) 18:16, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- If they never return and never make another edit, we've lost nothing. If they return to writing about Ironland, we simply punt them into the sun and move on. There's basically no risk here, so I'm not terribly concerned about the weight of the "reward" side of the equation. -- asilvering (talk) 18:20, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- I disagree with everything you just said, and your analogy to IPs is really over-the-top.--Bbb23 (talk) 18:33, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
