[edit]At Yoshi's New Island the source reviewer wrote "there should be consistency with the |publisher= parameter, some references use it, some don't" and the nominator responded "I have removed the publisher from every citation. Going forward, I will omit this parameter for consistency." Personally I don't find this acceptable at FAC. What do you think? Gog the Mild (talk) 14:54, 18 May 2025 (UTC)
- I'd say for most video game articles omitting publisher info from {{cite web}} is reasonable. The website is the most relevant element for considering the reliability of the sourcing. You still need it for books and periodicals (and it's used for the manual) but for the most part I'm not sure what additional information the publisher is giving you outside of whether or not certain networks are overrepresented (but that's not a ton of help either as the media landscape shifts so often that it's very unlikely the publisher information is going to be up-to-date and stable.) GTG II?
[edit]- Siege of Hennebont may be ready for closing, with five supports and the trimmings - all, in my subjective opinion, from high quality reviewers. CoI alert: this is my nomination. Or given that it has only been open a little over three weeks you may wish to leave it a little longer in the hope of further reviews.
- Mean (song) seems ready to me, although there is a stalled debate on whether it makes full use of the sources. Would one of you more experienced with popular media articles wish to opine? No problem if you wouldn't. Gog the Mild (talk) 13:40, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
- I’ll take a look at both of these tomorrow at the latest. I have a pretty good knowledge of the song. Thanks for these updates, Gog. FrB.TG (talk) 20:45, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
GtG III
[edit]- FrB.TG is looking after Mean (song).
- Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs is keeping an eye on Happy Feet (penguin). Having just passed a spot check and gained another general support this is probably getting close to closure.
- I am keeping an eye on the discussion of theses in Mother Solomon.
- Punic Wars has been mouldering for a while, waiting for Ian to stop enjoying himself and get back to work.
(The more I look at this nom the more I think there is a clear consensus to promote and the narrow point at issue is a content dispute which could and should be resolved in the usual (off-FAC) way. But, obviously, I am hopelessly conflicted.)
- Rani of Jhansi is moving really slowly, although I wouldn't say that it has actually stalled. A second opinion as to what if anything to do about it would be appreciated.
- I am doing pre-closure checks on several others, but as usual feel free to step in and save me work.
