I'm confused

I'm pretty new to Wikipedia, and I don't really get this one. If you publicly ask a question that can't be answered in public, could that really cause harm? Couldn't someone just notify you that the topic is sensitive, and then move on?

It seems unlikely to me that most decisions without explanations lack them because explaining would cause harm. I think that a lot of decisions just don't need to be explained, without necissarily being sensitive.

Just feels off considering Wikipedia is usually very transparent otherwise. I'm missing something. Ruffeboi (talk) 23:25, 15 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
