I’m a 21 year old doodle artist working mostly in digital and pen and paper mediums. I started doodling using pen aged 13 and found it calming and relaxing, helping me to express myself as an autistic teenager. My early influences were doodle artists like Jon Burgerman and artists like Keith Haring and Picasso. I love their use of shape and colour.
My early doodles evolved from traffic light-like creatures into doodle characters in large collages, often with local Ealing references. One of my more recent collage doodles is called Feelings, a collage of emotive faces. More recent work includes Mr. Autism and Spikey Mikey, both characters that seem to connect with people of all ages.
After leaving college and completing an internship in 2023 that included a short time at The Cartoon Museum, I am now looking for any opportunities doing the art I love. For me, “It’s the doodles that matter”.
I draw most of my doodles all on My IPad and The tool I use is my finger and I enjoy doodling on my iPad as you can do as many as you want without wasting any paper you can erase it and start over. I also draw my doodles quite fast and I can draw a big doodle or a character in just 5 minutes. i have my 5 iconic characters from doodle world. Wavy Hair Boy, Mr Autism, Angry Susan, Spikey Mikey, Blobby.
I do want to try out a new art style at some point like learn how to draw portraits or landscapes because my sister Sophie Boulter on Instagram draws these amazing paintings but she doesn’t post on instagram but please give her a follow.
For now I think I’ll just stick to my doodling as I have a few fans who know me for my doodie art.
