Anuj Gupta (born ) is an Indian interior designer, entrepreneur, and business professional based in Kolkata, West Bengal. Renowned for his sophisticated style and innovative solutions, he is regarded as one of the leading designers in India.
Early life and education
[edit]Anuj Gupta completed his schooling at St. Paul's Boarding School (ICSE, 1994) and Calcutta Boys School (ISC, 1996). He earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Bhowanipur Educational Society (University of Calcutta) in 1999. He later obtained diplomas in Interior and Exterior Designing from Jens Nicholson India Ltd. (1998) and Exports Management from the National Institute of Export Management, Chennai (2000).
Career

[edit]Gupta began his career at his family's firm, Banshidhar Gupta & Sons (1996), dealing in jute goods and stock exchange brokerage. In 1998, he served as Director at VKA Exports Limited, overseeing exports of leather gloves and industrial garments. In 2000, he co-founded Siddhi Vinayak Lightings, providing electrical turnkey solutions to municipal corporations, Indian Railways, coal companies, and steel plants.
Shivam Udyog
[edit]In 2006, Gupta founded Shivam Udyog, a distinguished design and architectural firm. The company specializes in custom-designed interiors, advanced lighting systems, and turnkey project execution for residential, commercial, hospitality, and automobile showroom spaces. Notable projects include:
- Kajaria Duplex Residence, Alipore, Kolkata – A lavish 10,000 sq. ft. duplex featuring Italian marble flooring, automated lighting, and bespoke furniture.
- Mukesh Hyundai Showrooms – Signature automobile showrooms known for refined aesthetics.
- Subway Cafeterias – Modern outlet designs in Lake Town, South City Mall, Gangtok, Asansol, Durgapur, and Dhanbad.
