Submission declined on 21 June 2025 by Bunnypranav (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Blake Varnadoe (born July 3, 2012) is an American author known for writing and publishing the psychological science fiction novel Eclipsar at age 12. He gained regional media attention in Georgia for his early achievements in fiction writing, self-publishing, and public speaking.
Early life
[edit]Varnadoe was born in LaGrange, Georgia. He began reading at a very young age and has stated in interviews that he taught himself to read before kindergarten. He attended Lafayette Christian School in Troup County before transitioning to homeschooling.
He has spoken publicly about being on the autism spectrum and experiencing anxiety and depression, which he credits with shaping his perspective and themes as a writer.
Career
[edit]Eclipsar
[edit]Varnadoe wrote and self-edited his debut novel, Eclipsar, in 2024. The 230-page book was published in early 2025 through Amazon in both print and digital formats. The story is set in a dystopian future and follows a character navigating a society impacted by a bioweapon that alters human behavior. The book blends science fiction, thriller, and psychological drama.
Varnadoe handled the editing and formatting process himself and worked with a professional cover designer. The book received attention from local news outlets for its complexity and maturity, particularly given the author's age.
Media coverage
[edit]In April 2025, Varnadoe was featured in the LaGrange Daily News in an article covering the publication of Eclipsar.[1]
He was later profiled in a televised segment on WTVM News Leader 9 and WLTZ NBC 38. The video was shared by the author on Facebook and includes interviews and footage of his media appearances.[2]
Other projects
[edit]Following Eclipsar, Varnadoe began working on several other projects, including
- Snowfall, a psychological thriller where three people awaken in snow with no memory.
- Crimson Roulette, a noir thriller involving a deadly underground game where lives are bet in roulette.
- Nightmare on the Run, a psychological thriller where a woman is attacked and a woman must join federal forces to solve her case.
Style and influences
[edit]Varnadoe has cited television crime thrillers, psychological dramas, and dystopian fiction as key influences. His writing often features unreliable narrators, nonlinear plots, and themes of corruption, survival, and identity.
Public presence
[edit]Varnadoe maintains an author website and is active on social media. He has hosted book signings, interviews, and uses online platforms to update readers on his progress and future releases.
