Environmental Information Center(EIC) (Chinese: 環境資訊中心; pinyin: huán jìng zī xùn zhōng xīn) is an independent media, and a news organization. It's a online media established by non-profit organization called Trust in Nature Foundation[1][2] (formerly Taiwan Environmental Information Association, TEIA[3]) in 2000, focusing on providing both domestic and international environmental news in Taiwan.

[edit]The Environmental Information Center was started by the "Environmental Information Newsletter" service by Taiwan Environmental Information Association[4] on 17 April 2000. TEIA is one of the Wetland Link International(WLI) for wetland education in Taiwan.[5] TEIA is the Taiwan branch of the international Reef Check Foundation.[6]
Coverage
[edit]EIC news covers environmental news from Taiwan, China and other countries along with issues including biodiversity, climate change, energy transition, land use and pollution control.[7] EIC won the 40th Golden Tripod Awards of books and digital publication for the book Class is on Biodiversity 4: Green Economy and Happiness[8].
