During the COVID-19 pandemic, he organized a flight that helped over 250 Indians safely return to India.[4]

Early life

[edit]

By the time he completed his undergraduate studies, Ravi had founded a spoken English institute in Warangal, training hundreds of students.[5]

Towards IT

[edit]

Learning about the growing potential of the IT sector, Ravi pursued computer courses in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana. After gaining proficiency, he began teaching computer courses and soft skills to engineering graduates seeking careers in IT. Many of his students secured positions in Indian IT companies, and some later moved to the United States.[6]

In the USA

[edit]

Ravi moved to the United States in 1997 and joined a telecom company as a software engineer. By 2002, he founded International Solutions Group and successfully expanded the business.[7] He continued his social work by and also grew as a serial entrepreneur. In recognition of his contributions to entrepreneurship, Ravi was invited to be part of the delegation led by Ivanka Trump at the 2017 Global Entrepreneurship Summit, held in Hyderabad, Telangana.[8]

Philanthropy

[edit]

During the COVID-19 pandemic, as international flights were suspended, more than 30,000 Indians were stranded in the United States. Faced with this crisis, Ravi established the US-India Solidarity Mission (USISM). They set up an informal call center with volunteers and received over 50,000 calls during a 21-day period. Working in coordination with the governments of the United States, India, and Qatar, they managed to arrange a flight that helped 250 people return to India on June 26, 2020.[9]
