SKN Sinhgad College of Engineering (SKN Sinhgad COE) is a prominent engineering institution located in Korti, Pandharpur, in the Solapur district of Maharashtra, India. Established under the umbrella of the Sinhgad Technical Education Society (STES), the college is part of the renowned Sinhgad Institutes network. The college is named after Smt. Kashibai Navale, a respected figure in the region, and was established in 2010 with the aim of providing quality technical education to students in the Pandharpur region and beyond.[1] [2][3]

SKN Sinhgad College of Engineering is a private institution affiliated with Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The college is accredited with an 'A+' Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bengaluru, in 2023. It is also accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).[4][2][5][6][7]

The college is situated on a 20-acre suburban campus in Korti, Pandharpur, and offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering and technology. [2][8]

History

The college was established on June 20, 2010, under the leadership of Prof. M. N. Navale, the founder of the Sinhgad Technical Education Society (STES). STES was founded in 1993 with the vision of providing quality education in technical and professional fields. The society operates a network of educational institutions across Maharashtra, including engineering colleges, management institutes, and pharmacy colleges.

SKN Sinhgad College of Engineering was established to cater to the growing demand for technical education in the Solapur district and surrounding regions. The college is named in honor of Smt. Kashibai Navale, a prominent social worker and the mother of Prof. M. N. Navale.[9][2][10]
