XRING Technology Co., Ltd. [edit]On May 15, 2025, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun announced on Sina Weibo that Xiaomi would unveil its first in-house developed SoC, the XRING O1, in late May 2025.[2] According to Xiaomi, development took four years, and the chip is manufactured on a second-generation 3 nm process with 19 billion transistors. Designed entirely in-house, it is China’s first domestically developed 3 nm system-on-chip.[3]

[edit]At a May 22, 2025 event, Lei Jun introduced Xiaomi’s first long-lasting 4G smartwatch chip, the XRING T1. The chip integrates Xiaomi’s in-house 4G modem and supports 4G eSIM standalone connectivity, offering a 35 % improvement in real-world LTE performance and a 27 % reduction in power consumption during data transmission compared with existing eSIM-compatible watch chips. It also features an integrated video codec module. The XRING T1 debuted in the Xiaomi Watch S4 15th Anniversary Edition.[4]
